MAE 465 - Aerospace Structures II

Prerequisite: MAE 365 with a grade of “C” or better.
Fracture mechanics. Fatigue failure. Structural stability. Elementary aeroelasticity. Energy principles. Finite element methods of aerospace structural analysis. Application of finite element computer programs.

Letter grade only (A-F). Projects are assigned and written reports are required. (Lecture-problems 3 hours).
