ENGL 488 - Selected Topics in Rhetoric and Writing Studies

(3 units)

Prerequisite: ENGL 100B  or GE English Composition (Area 1A).
Intensive study of a special topic in the field of rhetoric, composition, and writing studies.

  1. Advanced Argumentation
  2. Multimedia Composition
  3. (Post) Modern Persuasion
  4. Real World Writing
  5. Dimensions of Writing Assessment


Both grading options. May be repeated to a maximum of 12 units with different topics in the same semester, but no more than 6 units may be applied to the English major. Topics announced in the Schedule of Classes.
