EDSS 597 - Single Subject Credential Intern Support

Prerequisite(s): EDSS 300 (A-T), ED P 301/302/305, EDSE 436 and EDSE 457/458/459 and admission to the Internship Pathway. Requires submission and approval of an Internship Application by the Subject Area Coordinator and SSCP Director. Department Consent Required.
As required by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, a university mentor will provide support and evaluation to intern candidates through classroom visits and other means as needed. Specific emphasis on teaching English learners and culturally responsive pedagogies.

Credit / No Credit only. Course fee may be required. Interns do not enroll in EDSS 597 during their semester of student teaching. May be repeated to a maximum of 8 units.
