EDEC 422 - Developing Family, School, and Community Partnerships

Prerequisite(s): Applying to PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist Instruction Credential or Instructor Consent. Candidates must receive a C or better in this class to be considered for admission to the PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist Instruction Credential program. Must have a valid CTC Certificate of Clearance and proof of a negative TB test to begin clinical practice hours in this course.
Research and explore diverse approaches for engaging and partnering with families and community resources to support children’s education. Plan, organize, and implement education programs and community partnerships. Analyze research examining diverse family structures and backgrounds to inform teacher practices.

Letter grade only (A-F). Candidates complete ten hours of clinical practice. Course fees may be required. Not repeatable for credit. Double Numbered with: EDEC 522
