NRSG 761 - Adult Gerontology Acute Care Theories for Adv Practice Nursing II (3 units)
Prerequisites: Admission to the DNP Graduate Program, completion of all core classes, NRSG 760, NRSG 760L and clinical pre-test and/or consent of instructor. Corequisites: NRSG 761L, NRSG 792C.
This course focuses on epidemiology, etiology, differential diagnosis and management of acutely ill patients experiencing complex episodic illnesses, and are physiologically unstable, technologically dependent, due to disorders of gastrointestinal, neurological and/or genitourinary systems, including those experiencing shock, and emergency situations.
Letter grade only (A-F). Not repeatable for credit.
