SOC 353 - Urban and Social Policy Analysis (3 units)
Prerequisites: GE Foundations, upper-division standing. This course introduces students to social policy analysis as a tool to address urban social problems and examine existing U.S. policies. Students learn about the field of public policy, the policy making process and how to define and measure social problems, develop, and evaluate policy solutions, and communicate policy recommendations in an effective way.
Both grading options. Not repeatable for credit.
