H SC 350 - Introduction to Health Advocacy and Policy

Prerequisite: Upper Division Standing.
Introduction to health advocacy and policy in the context of public health practice. Students explore health issues requiring policy change and examine policies for their impact on public health and health equity. The role of advocacy in promoting and implementing policy to improve people’s health and support community health efforts will be introduced.
