MUS 225 - Explorations in Teaching Music

(3 units)

Prerequisite/Corequisite: One GE Foundation course.

An overview of teaching music with an emphasis on philosophical and historical foundations, current trends, principles of instruction, and lifelong learning possibilities. Practicum includes guided observations of various types of music programs and introductory teaching opportunities.

Letter grade only (A-F).
