STAT 108 - Statistics for Everyday Life


(3 units)

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Appropriate CSU Multiple Measures Placement or concurrent enrollment in STAT 90 .

Exploratory data analysis, methods of visualizing data, descriptive statistics, misuse and manipulation of data in statistical analysis, probability, binomial and normal distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, correlation and regression, and contingency tables.

Both grading options. (Lecture 2 hours, Activity 2 hours.) Not open for credit to students with credit in MATH 108, MATH 180, MATH 380; or MTED 305.
