PHYS 340B - Electricity and Magnetism II

Prerequisite: PHYS 340A . MATH 364A  or  MATH 370A  
Special relativity. Applications of Maxwell’s equations: Plane electromagnetic waves, guided waves, radiation, interaction of electromagnetic waves and matter.

Both grading options. (Lecture-discussion 3 hrs.)
