MUS 371A - Improvisation Techniques I

Prerequisites: MUS 272B or consent of instructor.
Basic techniques in improvisation, beginning with simple question and answer phrases and progressing to extended solos. Detailed and applied knowledge of chord progressions.

Both grading options. (1 hr lec, 2 hrs lab) Not open for credit to students with credit in MUS 271.
