MATH 119B - Survey of Calculus II

Prerequisite: A grade of “C” or better in MATH 119A or MATH 122.
Functions of several variables, partial derivatives, optimization. First-order differential equations, second-order linear homogeneous differential equations, and systems of differential equations. Probability, random variables, difference equations. Introduces matrices, Gaussian elimination, and determinants. Life science applications. Emphasis on problem-solving.

Both grading options. (Lecture 3 hours) Not open for credit to students with credit in MATH 123 or MATH 224.
