MAE 101B - Introduction to Mechanical Engineering (1 unit)
Prerequisite: Freshman standing or consent of instructor and MATH 111 or MATH 113 or MATH 122 with a grade of “C” or better. Introduction to mechanical engineering as a profession. Past, present, and future trends and related professional opportunities and challenges. Introduction to mechanical engineering curriculum studies. Social, economical, cultural, legal and ethical issues related to mechanical engineering and its applications.
Letter grade only (A-F). (Lecture-problems 1 hour). Same Course as MAE 101BH . Not open for credit to students with credit in: MAE 101BH .
