MAE 305 - Numerical Methods in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Prerequisites: MAE 205 and MATH 370A all with a grade of “C” or better. Completion of at least 60 units, completion of the entire Foundation, and completion of at least one GE Course from the Explorations stage.
Solutions of linear and nonlinear algebraic equations. Solutions of linear and nonlinear systems of algebraic equations. Curve fitting and interpolation of data. Numerical differentiation and integration. Numerical solution of initial-value and boundary-value problems. Numerical solution of the matrix eigenvalue problem.

Letter grade only (A-F). (Lecture-problems 3 hours).
