KIN 441 - Applied Biomechanics: Lifting and Work Capacity (3 units)
Prerequisites: KIN 300 and KIN EXSCI majors only. Freshmen excluded. Study of the mechanical properties of bone, ligament, tendon and skeletal muscle. Development, description, and application of selected biomechanical models to the evaluation of weight‑lifting, rehabilitation exercises, and occupational lifting tasks. Critical analysis of methods used to assess strength.
