JOUR 120 - News Writing and Ethics

(3 units)

This introductory course focuses on the fundamentals of news writing. Students develop news judgment, and they practice writing different types of news stories, adhering to AP style and meeting deadlines. Legal, ethical and diversity issues in journalism are also addressed.
