EDEC 522 - Developing Family, School, and Community Partnerships (3 units)
Prerequisites: Admission to Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education, applying to PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist Instruction Credential, or Instructor Consent. Candidates must receive a C or better in this class to be considered for admission to the PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist Instruction Credential program. Candidates applying to the PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist Instruction Credential program must have a valid CTC Clearance and negative TB test to begin clinical practice. Research and explore diverse approaches for engaging and partnering with families and community resources to support children’s education. Plan, organize, and implement education programs and community partnerships. Analyze research examining diverse family structures and backgrounds to inform teacher practices.
Letter grade only (A-F). Candidates complete ten hours of clinical practice. Course fees may be required. Not repeatable for credit. Double Numbered with: EDEC 422
