EDEC 520 - Early Childhood Curriculum and Assessment

Prerequisites: EDEC 521. Admission to Master of Arts in Education, Option in Early Childhood Education or instructor consent.
Examines contemporary influence on American early childhood (birth to age 8) curriculum thinking, program models, and debates. Explores fundamental dimensions of curriculum theories, assessment, and processes of curriculum. Examines how curriculum and assessment support children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Letter grade only (A-F). Course fee may be required. Five hours of fieldwork required.
