CHIN 462 - Contrastive Analysis of Chinese and English

(3 units)

Prerequisite: Upper-division standing.
Designed for advanced study in Chinese grammar (structure of Chinese). It is also intended for students who plan to teach Chinese as a foreign language or do research in Chinese linguistics. Comparison of phonological, morphological, syntactic and discourse aspects of Chinese and English languages. Analysis of common errors in learning Chinese.
