ART 356 - Jewelry Casting

Prerequisite: ART 130, ART 131, ART 181; AH 111A, AH 111B. ART majors, Pre-Art BFA majors, Pre-Studio Art BA majors, and Pre-Art 3-D Media BFA majors only. Exclude Freshmen.
Design and creation of jewelry through lost-wax casting techniques and processes. Exploration of wax-working techniques, mold making, found object casting, metal melting, and finishing techniques.

Both grading options. Course fee may be required. (6 hrs. lab.) May be repeated to a maximum of 6 units.
