Prerequisites: AH 111A and AH 111B. School of Art majors and Art History minors only. Exclude Freshmen.
Examination of artistic production in the Spanish Netherlands and the Dutch Republic, c. 1600-1710. Emphasis on cultural, social, and religious contexts, especially Catholic and Protestant approaches to religious subjects, patronage, political structure, and the marketing of art.
