COUN 638 - Group Counseling (3 units)
Prerequisites: Admission to the MS in Counseling, and/or PPS School Counseling Credential, or School Psychology Program, COUN 510 , COUN 513 , COUN 515 or equivalent upon approval of instructor. Review of theories and applications of small group processes in guidance and counseling. Laboratory practice is provided and issues and roles relating to the selection of participants, leadership, interaction methods, problem-solving, and evaluation are examined. Students will learn how to proficiently facilitate the group process and address multicultural issues in group settings.
Letter grade only (A-F). Not open for credit to students with credit in EDP 638.
