CHEM 451 - Instrumental Methods of Analysis (5 units)
Prerequisite(s): PHYS 152 , and either CHEM 361 or NSCI 361 , and either CHEM 371B or CHEM 377B , all with a grade of “C” or better. Theory and application of instrumental methods to chemical problems. Includes measurement basics, atomic and molecular spectroscopy, electroanalytical chemistry, separation methods, surface analysis, and statistical evaluation of analytical data.
Letter grade only (A-F). Course fee may be required. (Lecture 3 hrs., laboratory 6 hrs.)
